I think most owners run into problems when they do a tranny flush, not just a tranny fluid change. A tranny flush is a good way to replace all the tranny fluid and it can also clean the build up inside the tranny. The problem is that all that build up can sometimes end up potentially damage components or block tight passageways. When fluid is forcefully pushed back into the transmission, chunks of debris can be dislodged and possibly block narrow channels or one-way valves.
