Can someone please help me identify the rear differential of my 2007 X3 with 93,000 miles? I went under the car and found the yellow tag and part number 33107567994 sticker on it. I think this has a final gear/drive ratio of 4.44. I want to know if I have an open/non-LSD or a LSD (Limited Slipped Differential) rear differential. I think my rear differential is starting to make a 'growling' noise during deceleration and I want to evacuate the fluid and refill it with factory fill. I found the rear differential fluid for 'Open/non-LSD' differentials with PN 33117695240 (about $37) but not sure if this is the correct fluid for it. I also found the synthetic BMW SAF-XO fluid with PN 07512293972 from a BMW motorcycle dealership at about $22.00. I just want to make sure I use the correct factory fill. Thank you!
