Seriously, your situation is really not persuading me to buy a BMW. I know these issues can happen with any car, but it seems like they may have sent out a vehicle that needed some guinea pigs to work out the kinks. Been there, done that with Ford. Really hope this situation turns around for you quickly...or that you feel you were fairly compensated for this. Not sure what that would take at this point though. Eek.
