Although the proud owner of an xDrive20d, I am secretly quite jealous of the 30d brigade and if ordering now would probably have opted for the 30d, or even waited for the 3.5d - you will pay more tax and more insurance though! £125/year for the xDrive20d. All over that!

Hopefully I will take delivery of my 3.0d m sport next weekend and will probably never be out of it for the first few weeks at least, so will be interesting to see what mpg is.
At the moment I run a 3 series 330d and get between 35-45 mpg totally depending on how I drive it, and agree with sfax what is the point in having all that torque and not enjoying it. The power is incredible, and I hope the x3 will offer the same thrill when you accelerate. Cant wait!!!
