I am pretty sure you do not need to have your foot on the brake to stop (turn off) the car. Once it is in Park, a double tap will do it.

No it won't shift to neutral nor park if you hit the park button when the car is moving..... It just have the warning sound and the warning message in the dashboard......
I know this because I did it accidentally couple of times when the car is moving.....
