Yes, there is the "lock in" with Geico, but I plan to keep the car for at least 7 years. Also, at least in my case Geico is $30/6 month period cheaper ($47 more per 6 months if I include the MBI), so at least in the short term I'll be doing alright as they are very competitive on car insurance rates for me, although nobody can predict what it will be in the future.
