Now that I have had both, I can tell you that DHP is a no brainer. If you can't afford to spend what I would consider the nominal $1300 more, you shouldn't be buying a BMW. DHP Really makes the X3 a solid performance machine and it drives much, much better. My Old X3 without the DHP drove more like my friends Volkswagen Tiguan - whereas the X3 with DHP drives actually better than the X5, it's very very solid. Everyone on BP recommends DHP because it is really great, it really changes the car.
