Your picture was extremely helpful.
The wiring loop issue got addressed after multiple conversations with dealer, followed by escalation to BMW Customer Relations.
I removed air box to verify harness routing (after "completed repair").
The mechanic managed to lay out harness such as it still rubs against the air box.
I corrected harness routing using your picture as reference
