I was told that the Style 305 snow tire package that I ordered was back ordered. The dealership is suggesting the Style 317 (originally from the X1) instead. I don't have time to wait since I'm going for a long road trip across Quebec next week.
It seems that the load index is much smaller with the Style 317 (94 vs. 99 for the Style 305), which might potentially pose a safety risk if the car is fully loaded. This might be why BMW does not recommend these tires for the X3.
What do you guys think about this?
Note that the 18" wheels package (Style 307) is back ordered too.
