Great job. So pleased this has fixed it. My car is due for its routine service next month so I will show the dealer this and get them to do the same on mine.
As you say the real issue here is that there is a fix but the mighty BMW seem not to want to recognise nor deal with the issue.
Anyhow, we got there in the end!
