Are you planning to keep winter tyres on until spring next year?
I fitted mine in November last year to my 330d and by January they where more than half worn down. The rubber is extremely soft particularly at temperatures greater than 7 degrees C and they wear out at an alarming rate. My advice would be to flit them at the last possible minute before that snow arrives - they're certainly not the sort of tyre you want to fit too early.
My tyres where Bridgestone 225's from BMW on 17" alloys.
