Thanks for all that info. Could you do me a favor and go to the BMW update website, put in your VIN, and see what update they provide you? After you have plugged in your VIN, on the next page there will be a PDF file showing which software versions are included in their BIN update, Like the one I have attached below.

I'm curious if their website is in fact out of date.
My car has versions MN-002.049.003 and TN-002.049.003 in it, but when I downloaded the update file, I get an error when plugging in the USB stick. Someone else said my version is actually already higher than what BMW has on their site... They list the contents of the update for my VIN as:

MN-2.18.2, TN-2.18.5
MN-1.37.3, TN-1.37.10
MN-1.23.7, TN-1.23.15
