Regarding wheel alignment: the x3 suspension is designed for 0 degrees camber up front and -2 degrees in the rear. The wheel hub centers are aligned front to back (same cross dimension), but because the rear wheel has the slight negative camber that tilts the top of the wheel in ever-so-slightly. Like you, mine is also lowered 1.2" (Eibach pro springs) and the BMW shop I had it aligned at was able to get camber back into stock oem tolerances without camber plates. Personally, I wouldn't be to worried about the effect camber has on the wheel fitment because you can purchase a 5mm space to correct this issue if that bothers you down the road. My 19" summer wheels are square fitment and I haven't bothered with the rear correction yet since its so minor, was thinking of doing that this next season though. H&R sells spacers at almost every width from 5mm up.
