Looking for a Second Opinion on Wheel Fitment

I've narrowed down my wheel plan for my 2006 BMW X3. I've been working with a VMR rep to purchase a set of V703 (VB3 CSL style) wheels. I want to go with an aggressive staggered set:

F 19x8.5 ET40 with 245/45R19
R 19x9.5 ET33 with 275/40R19

Tires will be Continental ExtremeContact DWS06.

VMR is advising against the rear with the 9.5 width because of concerns with fitment. Everything I read from other posts leads me to believe 19x9.5 ET33 is aggressive, but should fit my X3 without any trouble. This has 6mm less inner clearance and extends 32 mm beyond my stock 18x8 ET46 BWM style 113 wheels. I think the VMR rep is giving me the party line to avoid liability since this fitment is outside the very conservative BMW recommended sizes.

What do you all think? Will the 19x9.5 ET33 cause any problems for me? Thanks!
