After having my car for couple of weeks, the "emissions" icon (little helicopter/video camera image) appeared on the upper right side of the instrumental panel. I have call the bmw service people and they told me to open the fuel cap for some air to come in (which I did and even added some more 91 gas). They told me to wait for 2-3 days and the icon should disappear by it self. If its not gone by then, I would need to bring the car to the service department. They suggested that its safe to drive while waiting for this warring to go away.

If I would need to go for a service, how complicated is to fix this?
How to prevent this from happening it again?
