Re that "entry level" thing: Generally speaking it does not make an awful lot of sense to classify cars by the parking lot foorprint they cover. Driving an S-class as office car, I can tell you that in Europe a car of around 200in/5m length is no real joy, especially in underground garages sized for 1950's VW Beetles. A nice, compact high quality car with nice interior can be as "upscale" as a 5 meter barge.

And LOL, yes. I'd like to buy my cars in the U.S. and import it to Europe. Only the amount of bureaucratic red tape and fees is staggering. Well, and in addition to paying inflated list prices we also pay fuel prices at least twice as high as in the U.S. (even California).
