The Dynamic Handling Package certainly includes dynamic dampers (which are great), but it also includes variable sport steering and performance control. Modern electric steering can feel very indirect, but variable sport steering helps by providing progressively more direct steering as the steering wheel is turned further. That makes the steering forgiving when you are driving in a straight line, but more engaging when you are taking a curve. Performance control helps, too, by enhancing traction on curves. Without performance control, the X3 takes corners with a steady state torque split of 40/60 front/rear; with performance control the rear wheel bias is pushed to 20/80. So DHP is not only about the adaptive suspension.
