I've been following this post with interest - assuming that what you guys on the western side of pond call DHP, we call VDC here - the variable dampers.

I have never driven a car with variable dampers, but I have a 2011 530d M Sport at the moment, and it has the standard M Sport suspension. I live out in the country and there are lots of uneven road surfaces and potholes.

The 530 crashes into them and shakes you to pieces. I have no idea whether it would be a fair comparison to an X3 on M Sport suspension, but the ability to have a soft ride over these road surfaces really appealed to me.
