woodchuck: stopping distance depends on; road surface, brake performance, ABS performance (if you activate ABS) and tires.

At comparison tests road surface is equal.

It is unlikely that BMW has shitty brakes, so I agree: very probably "non competitive" brake performance is likely due to RFT:s.
