I wouldn't read too much into reviewers saying certain options are a must. They say this about VDC but they have never driven the car without VDC. They are effectively comparing normal mode in VDC with non-VDC and assuming they are the same when they are not. I have 19" 309s with sports suspension and have no problems with the ride.
