From the pain of buying E83 RIMS off Ebay and then fitting winter tyres, then on fitting finding out that they foul on the brake callipers.
Everything might look ok i.e. Rim size, offset etc.
But you'll only know if they fit when you try. There doesn't appear to be an official measure for the space inside the wheel (rim profile) to allow clearance for the brakes.
I didn't want to fit spacers/extended wheel bolts.
So I ended up taking the winter tyres off the E83 rims and putting them on my F25 17" wheels. Off loaded the E83 rims at a loss
Now looking for cheap F25 17" wheels on ebay.....
PS the winter tyres were E83 size. i.e. 235/55/17, slightly smaller rolling radius but fine for the 5 months I used them for.
