I have the same positive experience with this solution. I last updated this thread with a final dealer visit. I showed the service advisor the cabinet bumpers and it did not compute for him. Their second felt tape solution attempt did not last as long as the first one. After a week or so the creaking was back. Since I've applied the bumpers...perfection. I expect I will have to replace the bumpers once they wear down over time but I'm OK with that. It's much more convenient than schlepping to the dealer.
I wish there was such a solution for the wind noise issue. Luckily, I guess, it is not nearly as annoying as the moonroof creak.
