Navigation System. Switch between US and European version
Just bought a X3 in USA with european specs so I am staying in US now but planning on coming back to Europe in one year. The system brings the european maps loaded but I want to load the US maps now, while I am here, and prior to coming back to Europe I want the European version back.
The BMW dealer keeps telling me there is nothing they can do by saying he only can load the US version (which entails to reformat the hard drive) but there is no way for him to bring the system back to the European version and I will have to get this done back in Europe.
Can anybody give some insight in the process?
It's hard to believe I cannot bring the system back to its originals standards (europeans) and conversely its original standards can be change to USs.
