Somewhat related question...does anyone know why SUV's typically don't have the driver/passenger windows tinted? I was thinking of having it done but didn't know if it was some weird state law or something. I figured that would solve the blinding lights in my barely dimming side mirrors.
Interestingly, I found the same thing as others on this board. However, I got a software update last year because the brake wear indicator algorithm was going haywire. The new full software flash at that time updated the brake wear algo but also resulted in my auto-dimming mirrors now working really well and as expected.

I suggest going to the dealer and getting them to flash your software to latest version.
