Honestly - it is worth it. I had a 330d for six years and there was no way I would go down to a 2.0d. I am sooo happy that I didn't - especially seeing that the 2nd hand cost was not that great.
Really happy with mine - was getting 42MPG on school run and the other day was getting 52.3MPG when cruising at 60Mph.
It is so fast in sport mode. very very quick, you can beat most things on the road.
Its certainly recommended.
