I've cleaned up "over wax or polish" with alcohol and a toothbrush, then rinsed. I've used back to black in the past. It did ok, but it didn't seem to last very long and when it wore off the over wax was still there. I'm now using Meguiars Ultimate Protectant. I'm pleased with it, but I know other people have had success with other products.
