My grandfathers new Lexus has this and I actually like it (my wife hates it). It's a preference and it would be nice to see the X3 have it as an option.
I personally, even though I like having it, would not choose it. This would add perforated seats and I have had these is a few cars, in each one the seats are very hard to clean and I find myself using a pin to clean out the perforations. I would hate to see how messy it gets under the leather.
