my fiance and i just bought a certified pre owned x3 with just under 30,000 miles, 6hrs after picking it up the main computer malfunctioned, i'm not sure if it was the cause of the malfunction but under light acceleration between 2600 and 3000 rpm it would bobble, shortly after i made it do this a few times the service engine soon light came on, when my fiance took it in to have it checked they said the computer failed and when they tried to reload it it crashed completely, they gave her an '07 328xi, what a blast to drive, they ended up replacing the computer completely and at no charge to us, unfortunate that it broke but service was impecible
