According to email info from BMW plant Dingolfing the retrofit is scheduled to be available 06/11, which sounds good to me. No info regarding costs, but I guess it will be ~ 200€. In addition you will need to have the cradle. I have the first release of the media snap in, which heats up pretty fast. I will ask BMW for a change once the new model will be available.

Man in the spares shop today said the first release of the iphone4 media adapter was pulled due to overheating. Its being redeveloped for release later in the summer and will incorporate a fan! ? WTF.
