Completely agree with Pete. Had a Ford, which spent most of the time in the shop instead of driving, then went to an Audi with 70K with not a single problem, VW constant problems under 50K, Infinti constant problems under 35K, and now a BMW with no problems up until now at 50K miles.
So it really is the luck of the draw sometimes. Also question for OP is none of that covered under the BMW Warranty?
