It's very difficult when you own a vehicle (or anything for that matter) and expect it to be faultless, only to have issues crop up and spoil your dreams. This is when you ask yourself questions like "why did I buy this", "how much did I spend on this!" etc.....
I guess all these are normal human reactions and are generally fair comments. However I bet there are a lot of BMW owners out there that have had no issues with 100K plus miles on them and there are plenty of Ford owners out there that now detest Ford due to many issues (I for one like Ford cars, but the quality has a lot to be desired).
I've owned three BMW's (two of which went over the 50k mark and I am still driving one of those today), with the X3 doing just over the 20k mark and touch wood so far so good (apart from some leaves in the blower!).

I guess it's down to luck at the end of the day, like all these things.

I hope you get it sorted and enjoy the car as it's meant to be.
