So, the struggle I am having is that having just bought the 328i and then looking at the X3 it seems like a step backward to all of the old technology. The 2007 328i is loaded with dual zone air conditioning with vents to the back seats, new stalk controls for wipers, turn signals, etc. The new ignition system with the start/stop button, etc. The X3 gets redesigned for 2010 but that is two model years away. Just wondering if anyone knows when the 2008 model year should be hitting dealers and if there is a chance that it will have updated to the 328i technology?

Got an X3 3.0 as a loaner car before, and to tell you the truth, it wasn't half bad at all. It drove very much like a 328i. In fact, my wife LOVED it (I let her take it for a spin around the block
) ...she thought it was "so cute" and it made her feel younger (not that she's an old lady or anything
). I say get it; she'll probably love it!
