My point was to show that the interior door panel appears to have separated from the door, and I don't want to try and force or snap it back on and break something. Dtiger, I think the panels are secured by small nylon 'popper' type inserts and they can come adrift if not fully inserted. You can sometimes find the location of the insert with a piece of card inserted between the panel and door frame. Then a firm tap with the palm of the hand can pop it back in. I had a panel like that on my previous BMW.
