The only thing they don't cover is wear and tear, unless that has changed.
I know on the M3 I went to Warranty Direct, and they changed all the control arms etc. and the guys at BMW said that wouldn't have been covered by the BMW warranty. But that was a couple of years back.
I do think it is a very good warranty though.
