So, I've kept in Normal but definitely varied the rpm and speeds. The other point from the dealership (which I think is valid) is one appreciates the sport handling and DHP if you've first grown accustom to the normal mode.

so why did they tell you to avoid the sport mode or manual mode? The manual just says not to exceed 4500 rpm for the first 1200 miles, not to use full throttle and not to use the kickdown (whatever that is
). I think if you drive it reasonably you'll be ok. I've tried the sport mode for just a little to see how it is and used the manual a few times but not to excess. Maybe they think if your going to go into sport mode that you'll be tempted to start playing.
