Lol, it's not about believing or not believing. I was going by my own past experience when I first downloaded the app and played with it. At the time there was an update which removed the ability to unlock the vehicle directly and required you to contact BMW. Maybe this has since changed in a more recent update? To be honest I've never bothered trying since.
I will certainly try later today and see what happens out of interest.
