Lean on your salesperson for frequent status updates. The Track Your BMW site is about worthless and hopelessly out of date; the 1-800 line is not much better. We sat in "order documented status" for exactly two weeks before production started. After a week with no updates today, we learned our X3 was already on a truck headed to our dealer and projected to arrive Friday.
