This was the answer for our 2011 X3 Creaking Panorama Roof

1. I pressed the button and thus opened and elevated the roof's rear ... (do not slide the roof backwards)
2. After it lifted up the mechanism appeared as in in the

3. I stuck
small clear self-stick pads on both left and right sides at the yellow arrow location in the photo posted.
4. I also put some lightweight 3-in-1 household oil on the metal spring which is just under the new pad platform/bracket.
So far...no panorama roof creaking in the cold of Minnesota.
