What you need to keep in mind is the designation of the tire. It's classified as an Ultra High Performance A/S tire. It is not going to yield the same slick/snow type performance of other normal all season tires. Rubber is a bit stiffer, less siping, etc... All in an effort ot make the 960 performance oriented.

I do think they are the best alternative to the LS2 if you want to stick with RFT. The handling and performance characteristics of the 960 really match up well the X3 as it's a sporty little SUV to begin with.
