I have lumbar support seats on my Golf and it makes fine adjustments to the base of the seat where your lower back is in contact. I never use it and I think the other adjustments that you can make to the position of the seat have much more influence on your comfort and that lumbar support changes are barely noticeable. Just my opinion but I do have a slipped disc so seat position is very important for me and I spend a lot of time making sure it's spot on before long journeys.

That said, I have ordered the electric seat package which includes lumbar support! Sports seats give you extra thigh adjustment over standard seats. If I wasn't getting electric seats, I would just get sports seats and not pay the extra £250 for lumbar support.
