To the best of my knowledge, the USAA discount is an arrangement between them and the discount service of Zag/Truecar which enlists dealers to participate with low price guarantees in exchange for sales leads that they would not otherwise get. There is no support from BMWNA. Therefore, the USAA discount has to be included as part of the calculation of dealer net price over invoice cost.

On the other hand, the Olympic or Drive for Team USA $1K coupon is a BMWNA national sales promotion that, like any other manufacturer promotion, reimburses the dealer for the amount of the promotion. It reduces the cost to the buyer by reducing the cost to the dealer. It has no effect on the dealer markup over invoice cost.
