2011 X3 28i Engine Designation - N52T

I have searched forum archives and elsewhere, and cannot nail down what the "T" stands for in the N52T designation. I have been down a worrisome path that showed this engine to be one used in a 5 series (the article was for a BMW in Sri Lanka). It professed to be 2.8 litres and just over 200 horsepower. When I bought this X3 in February, it was sold to me as a 3.0 litre, 240 horsepower car. Can anyone help me with the "T" designation or with any other information that would show me how to confirm my 2011 X3 28i F25 N52T is really the 240 horsepower version? Thanks, sam
