Reformatted a USB stick, copied it onto it, and put it in the center armrest USB port, and clicked Update software in Settings. But I got this error message:
"Update on USB device not compatible. More info: www.bmw.com/update"
Can anyone tell me what that means?

I always updated by 2011 thru the usb port in glovebox.
