Mine also failed about a couple of weeks ago. My X3 is a 2013 x35i model with 33,000 miles on the clock. Before the pump failed, I noticed the engine fan came on first thing in the morning for a couple of weeks. I should have taken the car to the dealer to check sooner. Anyway, the pump was replaced under extended warranty.
