I had this happen to me once when a dealer fitted new discs and pads, it turned out to be faulty pads causing the grooves in the disc, so maybe this is what is happening to yours and therefore a one off.
If it was only occurring on one side, then it could of course be caused by a stone or something similar between the pad/disc.
