Personally, I don't feel any difference in body roll between Normal and Sport. The car is obviously more damped, but in a tight corner, no body roll difference...
Or am I missing something ? (yes, my Sport setting modifies my steering AND chassis)

Stiffer dampers would absolutely have an impact on roll resistance, and directional stability or turn-in.
