I am glad for you that they could start the car. But I agree, that they should find the exact problem , otherwise you will not be able to trust your car in the future.
It even could get dangerous with these temperatures if you are stranded someplace where you cannot get help quickly.
I am just happy it never gets that cold where I live, that's for sure.
