Thanks everyone for your replies. If it helps anyone, I ended up getting a used CIC unit off Ebay, I just made sure it came from a compatible donor car and the only extra job I needed to do was to code it with E-Sys, since in my case upon initial installation, almost everything worked OK except for the rearview camera and the inability to measure oil level.
After coding, everything worked OK. I still have the old CIC unit with the HDD which I assume still works, in case I need to fix the replacement unit.
