Well, you won't catch a break because the deadline was on page 2. But sometimes deadlines are not "real." If they sent a letter with no deadline at all then people could wait months. So they insert as deadline, but so long as the stuff arrives in a reasonable time they will not actually ding you. But who knows. I have not seen the original request or the second letter letter, and you have not said how long they gave you from the date of the letter. So I think you will just have to wait and see how they respond to you. We cannot know how they treat such things.
