Yesterday I've got P0597 code - " Thermostat Heater Control Circuit /
OPEN"
Code disappeared and popped another day (this is when I've checked for the code).
Can someone tell me if will this be covered under
BMW N20 Engine Coolant Thermostat: Limited Warranty Extension to 10 Years/120,000 Miles
Based on the code it requires new Thermostat but of course BMW couldn't tell me anything over the phone and asking to bring the car for diag ($185).

Car does not overheats and stays at about 1/4 of the temp gauge (forgot the F degrees).
Additionally, I've checked the coolant and it was at the "min" level although I can't recall if this is how it was prior.
Could I be certain that this code should correspond to the warranty extension? Otherwise I would rather spend that $185 on the local shop to have it replaced.
